Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a safe and easy way to bring back volume and vitality to your face when the years have begun to take their toll, which is why this versatile treatment has become extremely popular.

Dermal fillers can be injected in precise areas of the face to help rejuvenate your skin and facial contours. They reduce, and in many cases completely smooth out wrinkles, providing a refreshed and youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers have been developed and used over a number of years for injection into the skin. At Victoria Dental Clinic we use Hyaluronic acid fillers. Injectable Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a type of temporary dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body. In the skin Hyaluronic acid attracts water and consequently a hydrated appearance.

Aging involves the thinning of the fat, muscles, bone, and skin in our faces. This loss of volume leads to a sunken or sagging appearance of the face, fine lines, wrinkles, folds, and thin lips. Dermal filler is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, facial folds, by restoring structure and volume to the face and lips. The effects of injectable Hyaluronic acid are seen immediately. HA fillers are temporary, the longevity of the filler depends on the composition of the HA, location of the injection, and the patient. Patients require maintenance treatments to achieve the best results.

Injectable Lip Enhancement involves the precise placement of dermal fillers into parts of the lip and surrounding skin in order to enhance, shape, or add volume to the lips and to reduce surrounding wrinkles. Dr Mani will discuss what you hope to achieve prior to treatment to ensure natural and desired results. Dermal filler products are also very effective in both men and women in treatment of lines around the lips, lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial lines) and add volume to sunken cheeks or chins.

In your consultation we will have an in depth discussion about what you wish to achieve and carry out a full examination to formulate a bespoke treatment plan for you. We will also discuss all features of the treatment with you.
